Welder - 1st & 2nd shift

Responsible for fitting and welding various steel and stainless steel components using Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) processes in the manufacturing of commercial cooking equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following and any other functions deemed necessary.

Perform all aspects of the jobs and rotate in them as needed. 

Fit, weld, and grind stainless steel parts using GTAW and/or GMAW.

Perform tacking, seaming, grinding and fitting. 

Use jigs and fixtures for welding purposes as required.

Read and interpret blue prints and exploded views as required.

Able to access Quality Management System (QMS) and manufacturing resource planning system as required. 

Maintain clean and safe work area, including aisles, tooling, and machines.

Perform work in minimum standard time. 

Cross train in other work areas for better flexibility.  

Produce a quality product regardless of the operation being performed.

Adhere to all departmental and company-wide safety and procedural policies.

Work with the group leader on procedures, HAZCOM, lock out/tag out, safety and the welding procedures.


High school diploma or equivalent required.

Welding certificate or degree in GMAW or GTAW, or proven work history utilizing GMAW or GTAW.

Additional education/experience/skill set will determine performance level.

The employee must also be able to stand in one position and move their body, from the waist up, for increments of up to one hour consistently. The employee is frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: color vision, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
